What is Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana:
PM Vishwakarma Yojana was started by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, the Central Government has kept a budget of Rs 13,000 crore for this scheme, under which 18 businesses are being included in the scheme and encouraged. This scheme program was started to provide cheap loans to artisans for skill training, money to buy modern equipment and to promote digital transactions.
Application forms under the scheme have been started, interested candidates can submit the form online.
PM Vishwakarma Yojana Eligibility:
Under this scheme, all the artisans and craftsmen involved in various traditional businesses can apply and avail the benefits of the scheme:-
- Candidates of minimum 18 years of age can apply for this scheme, there is no instruction regarding maximum age.
- Only one member per family can avail the benefit of this scheme, that is, the application for the scheme will be made by any one member of the household.
- Government employees and any member of their family will not be considered eligible for this scheme.
Benefits of PM Vishwakarma Yojana:
Under Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, programs and artisans are going to get direct benefits under which:-
Skills Training: Under this scheme, both basic training of 5 to 7 days and special training of 15 days or more will be given with a stipend of ₹ 500 per day.
Loan Assistance: Under this scheme, loans will be provided to various categories of workers and workers at cheap rates.
Toolkit Incentives: Candidates applying under this scheme will be provided an amount of Rs 15000 in the form of e-voucher after training under which they can purchase equipment.
Digital Promotion: Candidates applying under the scheme will be provided monthly incentive amount up to a maximum of 100 transactions per digital transaction.
