Jaya Nigam is a middle-class railway reservation counter clerk and former Kabaddi champion, who lives in Bhopal with her husband Prashant Sachdeva, a railway section engineer and 7-year-old son Aditya "Adi" Sachdeva.  Despite the support of both Prashant and Adi, she regrets quitting the game after Adi's birth.  Regarding her accomplishments through Prashanth, Adi pushes her to return to the sport despite facing the challenges of physical fitness and new, more experienced players, while her friend, former teammate and kabaddi coach Meenal "Meenu"  "Singh, helps him in training.  Initially unable to cope with the pressures of a busy job and an exercise routine that Adi's enthusiasm pushes through her, she finally recuperates and, with the support of Prashant and Adi, plays as the mother of 7  Marks its return.  -After getting old, his story gets to be seen again.  In the big finale, he won the Kabaddi Cup for Team India.

Panga was announced on August 21, 2018, with Ashwini Iyer Tiwari assembling an emotional Instagram video of herself, sharing Kangana Ranaut, Jassi Gill, Nina Gupta and their families, which shows "When your family falls behind you"  If you go, no one in the world can take 'Panga' with you ".  

Ranaut told Mumbai Mirror in an interview," When Ashwini narrated the story of the film, I was completely shaken. My family has been a pillar of my strength and has always stood by me thick and thin.  

I can really relate to the feelings of the film. Also, Ashwini is known for her Slice of Life films and I have liked her recent work in Bareilly Ki Barfi. Panga is even more special to me, because  For the first time I will play the role of a national level kabaddi player. It is going to be challenging to be sure! I am looking forward to some exciting times with Ashwini and the Fox Star team. "

Gill, who plays Ranaut's husband in the film, told Mumbai Mirror, "I loved the screenplay, especially the inspiring family angle.  The film is a roller-coaster of emotions, but for me the real Indian family sentiment was the most heartfelt part of the subject.  Since I come from a very close family, I can identify with the story.

Filming began in Panaji on 23 March 2017.  The first schedule of the film was wrapped on 7 December 2018.  The second schedule of the film was wrapped on 22 June 2019.  The director planned the next schedule at a stadium in Delhi in April.  The third shooting schedule began in April 2019 in Delhi.  

The film's Delhi schedule was completed in mid-April and the next schedule of shooting commenced in Kolkata.  Filming was completed in mid-July 2019.  The film's director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari wrote on her Instagram account, "Mere Pyare Panga Insaan Suraj. Things really become impossible when the silver lining spreads."
