The eligibility criteria for different types of scholarship schemes are given below:-

WBMDFC Pre- matric Scholarship eligibility criteria

Applicant must be a native of West Bengal.
An applicant must be studying in a school/institution recognized by an Educational Board/Council/University of State/Central Government.
The applicant must have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 2 lakh.
Students studying in institutions outside West Bengal will not be eligible for Pre-Matric or Post-Matric Scholarship.

WBMDFC Post-matric Scholarship eligibility criteria

Applicant must be a native of West Bengal.
An applicant must be studying in a school/institution recognized by an Educational Board/Council/University of State/Central Government.
The applicant must have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 2 lakh.
Students studying in institutions outside West Bengal will not be eligible for Pre-Matric or Post-Matric Scholarship.

Merit Cum- Means Scholarships eligibility criteria

Applicant must be a native of West Bengal.
Applicant must have got admission to technical/ vocational courses.
An applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in the final Higher Secondary / Graduation examination.
The annual family income of the student should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
Students who are residents of West Bengal but are studying in listed institutions located outside West Bengal, as may be notified by the West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation from time to time, are also eligible to apply.

Talent Support stipend eligibility criteria

Applicant must be a native of West Bengal.
Applicant must have got admission to a technical/ vocational course.
An applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in the final Higher Secondary / Graduation examination.
The annual family income of the student should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
Students who are residents of West Bengal but are studying in listed institutions located outside West Bengal, as may be notified by the West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation from time to time, are also eligible to apply.

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA MERIT CUM MEANS SCHOLARSHIP eligibility criteria

Applicant must be a student of class - XI and XII
OR The applicant must be undergraduate level in Engineering, Medical, and technical/ vocational courses apart from undergraduate, postgraduate-level students who are pursuing general degree courses.
The scholarship will be sanctioned to the deserving students on the basis of merit-cum-means criteria.
Students pursuing M.Phil courses and doctoral courses from state-aided institutions are eligible.
The upper limit of family income is Rs. 2,50,000/- per annum has been fixed.

For SC and ST category the annual family income should not exceed 2.5 lakhs

Eligibility of Hindi Scholarship Scheme

The candidate must be a permanent resident of West Bengal
Candidate must have secured 60% or more marks in the previous qualifying course
Hindi should be one of the compulsory subjects to get the scholarship
The candidate must be from a non-Hindi speaking state
The selected candidate will get around Rs 3000 to Rs 10000 per month
