This online service will help in locating the missing persons. These services can be accessed on the portal 'digitalpolicecitizenservices.gov.in' or from the link provided on the existing Digital Police Portal. Till now such services were being provided through state citizen portals and this is the first time that these services are being launched centrally.

NCRB launched an online national service to search for missing people.

Missing person search service will now be available online to citizens. Now citizens can search for unidentified persons, unidentified deceased from the national database sitting at home. This will benefit the families of the missing persons and they will not have to run around. All details including photos will be available in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network system.

In user friendly search, citizens will go to the portal and click on search and the system will search the available national databases across the country and show the results immediately with photos and other details.
